Billboard and Outdoor Advertising

Second Life is a fairly popular social networking game in which players literally get a “second life.” This virtual world is not about killing beasts as in the promotional game World of Worldcraft, but it’s about creating a virtual existence in an online community. So what does ANY of this have to do with outdoor advertising? Because billboards like the one above are frequent in Second Life. Movietickets.com utilized a promotional food billboard to advertise their Web site. Many universities have their own campus in Second Life. There are multitudes of ways to promote on the Internet, and Second Life provides an outlet for advertisers to seemlessly integrate their brands into online communities. This also proves that not all “outdoor advertising” is outside your house.
