Diamond Billboard

This male-targeted billboard jokingly (I hope!) urges men to buy diamonds. It was created by Lorena Bobbitt for Diamondvues.com (which is strangely not featured on the board..)

I love Ikea so much I couldn’t resist bringing you some more of their creative ads! This one takes mundane city sights, like those above, and spruces them up with vibrant fabrics. The copy reads: “A little fabric makes a big difference.” Can’t argue with that! I’d be happy to discover that the bus I take everyday had curtains…I assume this particular campaign was short-lived because the fabric would dirty quickly. However, it’s clever enough that it probably gets a lot of free publicity on the internet and via word of mouth.

Recently these hilarious BE KANYE ads for Absolut Vodka have been gracing the New York City subways. I was actually confused until I realized it was part of Absolut’s latest campaign line: portraying things in an “Absolut” world. It’s a pretty good partnership because it also promotes Kanye West well.

This advertisement outside Dubai’s airport is in the Guinness Book of World Reccords for being the largest “banner” in the world. It’s seen by an estimated 14-15 million people each year!

Who would’ve thought CW’s Gossip Girl could top it’s OMFG campaign for last season? These new racy, controversial billboards, however, definitely do the job…
Even though I don’t really like mini coopers, I think these billboards are interesting. They’re consistent yet varied across different contexts (I displayed two but there are tons more out there). Plus, the 3D car adds a cool effect.
Even people who find pigeons really disgusting (myself among them!) can appreciate the intelligence of this cool billboard…

Gotta love this clever ad…
