Billboard and Outdoor Advertising

The best in environmental, outdoor and billboard advertising.

Coffee Speed Bumps Wake You Up

coffee speed bumps

K-fee is promoting their coffee beverage by disguising speed bumps as their can. Both presumably are liable to jolt you awake. Of course, associating your brand with something most people find annoying isn’t always the best idea. (via Direct Daily)

Giant Power Plug Promotion

giant power plug

This promotion was done for EnWB, which is creating a groundbreaking (heh, no pun intended) geothermal power station in Baden-Württernberg, which I guess is somewhere in Germany. Anyhow, it is a super clever idea and geothermal energy is also pretty darn righteous. (via Direct Daily)

Pull-up Promo Pushes Gym

These unique – I guess you would call them posters – were done to promote a gym. Quite attention getting, as you can see from the crowd.

Carlsberg Promotes Bottle with Billboard

Carlsberg Beer promoted their new bottle design with a billboard designed from bottles. That’s quite a mouthful. It’s also an awesome billboard!

Subway Posters: Animals Take Aim

animals take aim in subway

In this series of subway posters, animals holding rifles take aim at passengers walking through the tunnel. What really makes this promotion special are the lasers and gunshot sounds that project the installation beyond the walls and right to the audience. Very cool. The gunshot sounds were triggered by the laser motion sensors. The installation, created for the WWF was designed to draw attention to the fact that humans have driven hundreds of species to extinction, with many more on their way. By putting us in their shoes, perhaps they can change some attitudes. The underground passageway in Beijing is used by 9,000 people per day, which means a whole lot of people are getting this message.
